What counts as a "client"?

A client is a separate brand inside your Docsiv workspace, with its own brand kit, portal, documents, and team members. You have one workspace for your team, and you add a client for each brand you serve. Free includes 1, Pro includes 10, and Agency is unlimited. Clients can be archived and replaced without losing history.

What are AI credits, and what do they cover?

AI credits measure how much you use Docsiv's AI. Every action spends credits based on how much work the model does, so lighter tasks cost less than heavier ones. As a rough guide: One page of a visual document (a slide, report, or contract): about 100 to 200 credits. Generating one image: about 10 to 15 credits. Chatting with your workspace AI, rewrites, and inline edits: a smaller amount that scales with the length of the request and response.

What does that work out to across a whole document?

Because credits track the real work done, a full document is roughly the per-page cost times its length, plus any images. A short one-pager is light; a long multi-page deck or report with imagery uses more. Other document types work the same way, so heavier documents cost more than lighter ones. You can always see your exact balance and per-action usage in Settings → Billing.

Are AI credits shared across my whole workspace?

Yes. Credits are pooled at the workspace level, not per person, so everyone on your team draws from the same monthly balance. That keeps usage simple to manage, and owners and admins can watch the balance in Settings → Billing.

Do unused AI credits expire?

Accepted Answer

Your monthly plan credits reset on each billing date and don't roll over, so you get a fresh allowance every cycle. Credit packs you buy separately are different: they never expire, and they're only drawn on once your monthly credits run out.

How can I get more AI credits?

Accepted Answer

Two ways: upgrade to a higher plan for a larger monthly allowance, or buy one-time credit packs from Settings → Billing for a busy month. Packs never expire and stack on top of your monthly credits, so nothing goes to waste.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Accepted Answer

Nothing breaks, and you're never charged automatically. We email you when your balance runs low and again when it reaches zero, so there are no surprises. AI actions (drafting, regenerating, images, and workspace chat) pause until you add credits. Everything else keeps working, so you can still open, edit, share, and export your documents. To resume AI, buy a credit pack or upgrade and you're going again in seconds.

What AI models does Docsiv use?

Docsiv runs on state-of-the-art frontier AI models, routing each task to the model best suited to it. We upgrade to newer models as they ship, at no extra cost, so your drafts keep getting better without you changing anything.

Question 9

Does Docsiv train AI on my content?

Accepted Answer

No. Your documents, prompts, and generated content are never used to train AI models, ours or our providers'. Each task is grounded only in the context you provide, and anything sent to a model provider goes through their API, which does not train on your data. How do e-signature envelopes work?

Accepted Answer

An envelope is one document sent for signature, regardless of how many signers it has. Pro includes 20 envelopes per month and Agency is unlimited. Free plans can prepare signing blocks but cannot send for signature. Reusable signing templates are included on every paid plan.

Can I put my own brand on the client portal and use my own domain?

Yes, on Pro and Agency. Pro uses a branded subdomain (youragency.docsiv.com). Agency lets you connect any custom domain (portal.youragency.com) with SSL handled for you. Both plans hide Docsiv branding entirely, so clients see only your brand.

How do extra seats work, and how am I charged for adding a member?

Each paid plan includes a set number of team members. Need more? Add extra seats from Settings → Billing at a flat monthly price per seat. Seats are prorated when you add them mid-cycle and billed alongside your main plan, so you only pay for the days you use.

What's included in the Free plan, and what's held for paid plans?

Free is a real workspace, not a locked demo: you get 1 client, AI drafting, and the full editors. What's held for paid plans is deliberate and shown up front, exports carry a Docsiv watermark, Docsiv branding is visible to anyone you share with, and you can prepare signing blocks but not send documents for signature. Everything you create is yours and exportable at any time.

Is there a discount on annual billing?

Yes. Paying annually saves you 20% versus paying month to month, on both Pro and Agency. You can switch to annual any time from the billing portal, and the discount applies right away.

Question 15

Can I change my plan or cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, anytime from Settings → Billing, with no lock-in. Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current period, so you keep full access until then. If you cancel, the workspace moves to the Free plan and your documents, clients, and team stay intact. Only paid features (custom branding, custom domain, extra members, signing) pause until you upgrade again. If a downgrade leaves you with more clients or documents than the new plan allows, the extras are never deleted, they stay safe and locked until you are back within the limit or upgrade, and a full export is always available.
