Use your own domain for links and email
Open share links and published pages on your own address, and send email from your domain.
On paid plans, your share links, published pages, forms and signing pages can open on your own address, and Docsiv’s emails can come from your domain. Only the workspace’s owners and admins can connect domains.
Connect a web domain
- Open Settings › Domains.
- Under Custom domain, select Add domain.
- Enter a subdomain you don’t use for anything else, like docs.yourcompany.com or share.yourcompany.com. Your main website stays where it is.
- Docsiv shows the DNS records to add. Add them at your DNS provider (where you bought the domain).
- Select Check now. DNS usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to a day. The domain shows Verified when it’s ready.
From then on, links you copy start with your domain. Links shared before keep working.
Send email from your domain
- In Settings › Domains, under Sending domain, select Add domain.
- Enter your company’s domain, usually your main one, and add the DNS records shown. Your own inbox keeps working as before.
- When it’s verified, set the From address, the Sender name and, if you like, a Reply-to address.
- Select Send test to check how it looks.
Change or remove a domain
When you replace a web domain, you can keep the old one forwarding so links already sent still work (Keep old links working). Release a domain only when you’re sure: links on it stop working for good, including signing links already emailed.
