When to use it.

Proforma Invoice is a template for quoting an order before you make or ship it, so your buyer can pay a deposit and arrange the import. A bold colour block holds the title, dates, buyer and your details, and a strip beneath it shows the deposit due now, the Incoterms, lead time and VAT treatment. Goods, crating and freight sit in a ruled table, the total carries a second-currency figure, and a clear note says it isn't a tax invoice. A grey band closes with bank details and the steps from deposit to dispatch.
